Festive Fundraising with Christmas Jumper Day

Festive Fundraising with Christmas Jumper Day

Today, our pupils and staff are donning their best christmas jumpers as we participate in Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day! As part of The White Horse Federation family, we are passionate about improving the lives of children, and we are thrilled to support such a worthwhile cause.

Since first starting in 2012, the annual Christmas Jumper Day has helped raise money for Save The Children. The charity promotes children’s rights, provides relief to young people in developing countries, and focuses on making the world a better place to be a child.

To really get into the spirit of the season, we also had a fantastic Christmas lunch, with a roaring log fire on the screen and Christmas music while we enjoyed our turkey and trimmings. Father Christmas was even seen passing by the school as we were eating!

As a school, we recognise the value of supporting others and making a difference to the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves. Fundraising events such as this are an exciting opportunity for our school community to join together to help raise money for an excellent cause.

Principal Mr Price said: "It was a fantastic way to celebrate the festive season and celebrate our Culture & Community One Planet principle of this term."

We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the pupils and teachers who are taking part, as well as the staff who arranged the event and made our fundraising possible.
