After weeks and weeks of waiting caused by inclement weather, we were delighted to finally host the naming ceremony for Bertie Bus on Friday.
In October, our fantastic pupils won a competition that gave them the opportunity to name an eco-friendly bus running in the local area. After a lot of discussion, and many great suggestions, we decided to christen the eco-friendly bus ... Bertie!
On Friday, the children were excited to meet Bertie for the first time as he paid them all a visit.
Gagle Brook Primary School is a sustainable learning community where carbon neutrality and environmental friendliness are a huge part of everyday life. When the opportunity to become linked with one of the area's eco-friendly buses arose, we simply had to get involved, and everyone at the school was delighted to win the competition.
We hope that everyone who travels on Bertie has a safe and enjoyable trip to their destination.
