Gagle Brook is delighted to announce that Drew Price has been appointed the school’s new principal from September 2020.
Mr Price has most recently worked across key stage 2 and as maths lead at Dunalley Primary School in Cheltenham, having previously worked within the White Horse Federation at Zouch Primary School.
From September, he will replace current principal Gill Gooch, who is moving to a headship at Iver Village Infant School, and will use his passion and leadership experience to bring added stability to our school.
Prior to working as a teacher, Mr Price worked in the finance sector in London, alongside volunteering at a number of schools and youth settings during this period.
Upon being appointed principal, Mr Price said: “I am incredibly excited to have the opportunity to work with the fantastic team at Gagle Brook and look forward to engaging proactively with parents and working together to ensure we can collectively help the children and school to flourish. As an eco school, with a focus on the One Planet principles, I firmly believe we can collectively develop an engaging learning environment with sustainability at its core.”
Mr Price’s knowledge and expertise both in education and in his career as a whole will strengthen our leadership team as we build upon the progress made since opening in 2018.
Gagle Brook joined The White Horse Federation multi-academy trust as a new school in 2018. The trust is responsible for 32 schools across Swindon, Wiltshire, Gloucester, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire.
Chris Belli, regional director at the federation, said: “I am delighted to introduce Drew as the new principal of Gagle Brook Primary School. His leadership experience and exciting vision for the school made him the outstanding candidate for the role, and we are thrilled that he will be joining the school community in September.”
Mr Price’s appointment at Gagle Brook will begin in September after a transition period. He will engage with staff and parents to learn more about the opportunities and challenges facing the school and its future within the Elmsbrook and Bicester communities.
Once he is in post, Mr Price will share his vision and strategy for the school with parents and work in partnership towards a collective ambition and future for Gagle Brook and its pupils.
