With little more than two months left until Gagle Brook Primary School welcomes its first pupils, we wanted to give you an update on our progress. All of the necessary preparations are being made to make sure that our opening on 4th September is a huge success.
The Finest Teaching Staff
Gagle Brook is committed to providing pupils with all of the support and resources they need to grow and develop. To do this, we have built a team of excellent teachers and support staff that will nurture each pupil and allow them to fulfil their potential. What’s more, we have also appointed a number of parents and co-opted members to our interim governing body, which will be fully prepared for our September opening.
One area of our team that we are still recruiting for is wraparound care staff. In the near future, we will be advertising these positions in search of skilled and committed carers to join the Gagle Brook staff. If you have the experience and dedication it takes to support primary school pupils, or know someone who does, watch out for our upcoming advertisements.
A Development-focused Curriculum
While our brilliant team was being formed, we were also hard at work developing a curriculum that we could be equally proud of. Teaching important values, asking big questions, and emphasising the necessity of sustainability and environmental awareness are key features of the curriculum we have created. Underpinning this was our commitment to equipping pupils with not just knowledge, but also morals, principles, and integrity.
Always Striving for Improvement
As a school, Gagle Brook is always looking for new ways to engage pupils and improve what we have to offer. We intend to do this by raising funds to complete a variety of projects, the first of which has already been planned. Our PTA (parent-teacher association), which comprises friends of Gagle Brook Primary School, will soon be raising money to pay for a fish tank that will sit proudly in our school. We are also searching for a grand piano to place beside our learning lake, and we invite anyone who can support us with this to get in touch.
If you have any questions about our preparations or you would like to support our school, please contact us.
