As the new academic year begins, I’m delighted to be starting my first as the principal of Gagle Brook Primary School. I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to our school’s wonderful community.
It is my great pleasure to be taking up the headship at such a special, trailblazing school. Gagle Brook is already an exciting learning environment; one which delivers a unique and critically important curriculum. It is my responsibility to develop this learning environment and further improve outcomes for all of our pupils.
The One Planet Principles are the foundation of Gagle Brook Primary School. I am very much looking forward to upholding these principles and further integrating them with the learning delivered here.
These values are very dear to me, and I know they are also dear to this school’s community. They are not just sound ideals to live by, but crucial to the longevity of our planet. I want to take this opportunity to reassure all parents that the One Planet Principles will continue to underpin all the learning that takes place here.
I hope you will share my excitement in the support that we receive from The White Horse Federation in sustaining and implementing these crucial values. I have been working within TWHF since February 2018 and have experienced first-hand the support and encouragement that my colleagues in the federation provide, particularly in aid of innovative and pioneering approaches to teaching and learning.
Schools are nothing without the support and input of their communities. An effective partnership between Gagle Brook and parents is essential if we are to succeed in realising our ambitions for the school. I will be sharing more about how parents and community members can come together to support the school in my next blog post.
However, if you have any queries or questions, I’d be happy to help, so please contact the school on 01869 228750 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
I’m excited to start working with the school community and look forward to meeting you all.
