An effective and collaborative partnership between the school and its community is essential to the success of Gagle Brook Primary School and its pupils.
As I mentioned in my last blog post, the support and input of our community is so important to our school — it’s what makes Gagle Brook such a special place. Under my headship, our school will continue to prioritise community involvement and engagement.
There is never room for complacency when it comes to schools. At Gagle Brook, we are always looking for ways to improve. Whether that means increasing attainment, improving attendance, enhancing our extracurricular provision, or achieving a higher Ofsted rating, we want this school to be the best it can be.
Identifying areas of improvement is key to this process. To do this, we are regularly undertaking honest and thorough internal assessments on every facet of our offering. Another key aspect of this development is working with our school community to canvas opinions and forge a path to improvement.
Gagle Brook is your school. It is an integral part of the community, so it is important for members of that community to be consulted and their feedback to be valued. It is my intention to place increased emphasis on garnering the ideas and opinions of parents, staff, and all those involved in the Gagle Brook community.
In the coming weeks and months, I will be making myself highly available to parents and regularly engaging with the community through parents’ meetings. I operate an open-door policy and widely encourage parents to arrange a time to speak with me if they have any questions or ideas.
If you would like to arrange a meeting or share your thoughts, please contact the school on 01869 228750 or email us at email@example.com.
