Headteacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to Gagle Brook Primary and Nursery School

At Gagle Brook, we care about our learning, each other and the world around us. We believe that every child is entitled to a full and enriched curriculum that will support them in developing an enquiring mind and a lifelong love of learning.

Through our One Planet Principles and values-based ethos we create a safe, nurturing learning community; children are confident to explore, question and take risks to help them achieve a real and successful love of learning where they know that their efforts and achievements will be praised, recognised and celebrated at every stage.

In September 2018, we opened our doors to an enthusiastic group of Nursery and Reception-aged children. Since then we have continued to grow our unique eco school, and those first pupils are now ready for the new challenges of Year 4.

From the beginning, we assess and track progress so that knowledge and skills, first-hand experiences, creativity and enjoyment are matched to each child’s own needs and form a strong foundation for success and the development of the whole child. Children are motivated and encouraged to be active, inquisitive and cooperative so that they can thrive within our language rich environment to develop resilience, resourcefulness and independence, and the ability to direct their own learning now and in the future.

The school has an excellent range of new indoor and outdoor facilities fully used by the enthusiastic and creative skills of our committed staff. Our teaching and support staff, all with their own professional skills and interests, believe in planning collaboratively to achieve best results. They are a team dedicated to working in partnership with parents and carers in order to fully support every child in reaching their full potential.

Please come and join us on a unique journey to shape a new way of thinking, a new way of living, and a new way of bringing an outstanding education to children.

Any prospective new parent is encouraged to get in touch and we will make a personal appointment with you for a guided tour. This will give you the opportunity to ask questions, see the environment, look inside the classrooms and find out more about the school and our approach to learning.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school very soon.
